That is powerful. "The Story of Everything." It's Sheryl Crow, Chuck
D, Andra Day, and Gary Clark Jr. It's just one of the
Incredible collaborations on Sheryl Crow's new album, "
Threads," which is out now. And this next one we have coming
Up, there are some amazing and legendary names associated
With this one. Let's talk about "Beware of Darkness."

"Beware of Darkness" was written by George Harrison, and he's above
All one of my favorite artists of all time. "Beware of Darkness"
Is one of my favorite songs, "All Things Must Pass" is one of my
Favorite albums. And I just felt like we have to do this song, and
It's also a song that speaks to this time. And it feels like a bit
Of a love letter to our children, sort of a song of warning about
What to watch for as you inherit this planet. And who better to have
Come play on it than Eric Clapton? And I know Eric knew him, was
Close to him. They had a long history together. Eric has also been
A dear friend of mine for years. We've been close. He's been a great
Friend. He's been an inspiration to me and so I asked him if he would
Play on it. And, oh my goodness, I feel like he was tapping into
Something that was connected to his relationship with George. So that
Had a lot of meaning for me as well. And I asked Sting to sing on it
And Sting has also been a very great friend. And we've had a lot of
Personal experiences together, particularly when I was going through
Cancer. And he's been a wonderful friend. And he's also been somebody
Who was there in the early days for me with my getting signed to
His producer. So he's definitely a major part of my story. And then
I asked Brandi to sing on it because I feel like she has this Mother
Earth persona. She has this levity, this profundity about her. She
Is a mom, and she is just a great deep person that I feel like holds
The future also. So she and I sort of represent the moms in our
Telling this story to our children. And then we have these great men
Who have a history and a connection to something big. So I hope
People will love it and will feel
The care and love that's in this song

Talk about an amazing collaboration of artists: Eric Clapton
Sting, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, written by George
Harrison. This is "Beware of Darkness" on Big Machine Radio
