SONG OF THE MORROW
As we're alive, know the olden gods survive
On this beach between two silent seas
The bathers play, with their backs to me,
A darkling tune - I hear, but cannot see
I hear the sound of piping in the wind
It's a song of the morrow
Years start slipping through my head
With new days dawning
Hearing phantoms in the wind
I hear them calling
Is it Pan, whose piping in the sand,
Breaks the tide, and thrills me that I flee?
It's Time I sought to borrow
As the day dies, comes the morrow
Before we're ready to see
I hear the sound of piping in the wind
It's a song of the morrow
I am the spirit of dark and lonely waters
Years start slipping through my head
With new days dawning
Hearing phantoms in the wind
I hear them calling
