These shows are so different for me and you have to understand why
It's like, I become a different person when I'm performing these albums
Like last night, we performed Badlands in its entirety
I'm gonna tell you what
There's not a single radio hit on that album
And they still sang every fucking word to every fucking song
So that means y'all have no excuse tonight!
But when I played Badlands, it's like I revert into this space
Where I'm angry, and I'm not sure what I'm angry about
And I'm hungry, and I'm questioning, and I'm just young, young, young, young
I'm just so in that moment when I perform that album
But this one has a much darker story than that one
I find that many people who love 'hopeless fountain kingdom'
Are people who have been wronged by someone that they loved
If that's the case, then I want you to leave that on the floor at Webster Hall tonight
I want you to get it out of your fucking system!
Because whoever that person is who wronged you
They do not deserve your pain
