When I was a kid
Zoom was a TV show
And I had a telephone
Hanging on the kitchen wall
We all grow up
Some a little less than others
Turning into some version
Of our fathers and our mothers
I sang about 1985
19 year after 1985
Seems like about a million years ago
Seen a lot of bands like us
Blow up and come and go
And I've lived a life time or three
Full of laughter and tears

A couple wedding rings
And even if I could

Still feel like one myself

That she's my best friend
