"The start of it all going wrong is when we went to Ibiza
Um to do my favorite album, which was Technique
We didn't actually do very much in Ibiza
But um we discovered Acid House, and that was fun
Um I'm just backtracking a few years, that was fun, that was great
And then it all started going wrong
And um Factory went bump and we all—we didn't actually split up
But we—we fell out with each other because this
Had been going on for like—we've been together for like
10 or 12 years, done a lot of touring, done a lot of things
And we didn't split up, but we—we just said goodbye at
The end of a gig in—at Reading Festival, we said, 'Right, bye,'
And said, 'See you somewhere.'
And we didn't see each other for um six years
That was a bit of a problem for our manager because
We hadn't split up and people kept ringing him up saying
'Can they do a gig in—in our—our party?'
And he couldn't say anything, so after six years
He got fed up of it, and he rang us up and said
'We've been offered these gigs, look, can you—
We'll just have a meeting and decide, you know
Once and for all. Have you split up or are you going to carry on?'
And again, being perverse, we just went to the meeting and
Everybody was dreading it because we hadn't seen each
Other for such a long time, as soon as we got in the room
It was like you'd never been away."
