When Cassie/Lizzie escapes from the psychiatric hospital where she ended up after her last string of murders, she assumes the identity of "Karen", a new student at the local college. She is befriended by students and her professor, but she is haunted by her gruesome past. When her class begins debating the Lizzie Borden case, Karen remembers why she came back. On the evening of "The Anti-Prom" dance, blood is shed as Karen does away with anyone who tries to come between her and Lizzie's ax.
