Jesse is a singer-songwriter who, despite his charisma and undeniable talent, is down on his luck and living out of cheap motels due to a series of bad decisions. As he reflects on his life, he crosses paths with Carla, an old flame. While the reunion is a blissful one, their tangled past and present hang-ups threaten to put an end to their newfound happiness.
