The world is counting on famous super spy Lance Sterling to protect it from grave threats; in turn, the vain and self-centered Sterling counts on the technical smarts of young scientist Walter Beckett to fashion great gadgets to accomplish his missions, ignoring the boy's pleas to let him join his hero in the field. However, when Beckett attempts to introduce Sterling to his newest invention "biodynamic concealment", Sterling accidentally ingests Beckett's experimental work and transforms into a pigeon. He must now find out how he can save the world from the cybernetically-enhanced terrorist Killian while coping with the disadvantages and advantages of being such a small animal, evade his own agency (which has classified him as a rogue agent), and learn to work with Walter, who now has to prove that he can be a capable spy.
