James Frey has been descending into drug hell for the past three years alongside harboring a decade long addiction to alcohol. At 23-years-old this failing author is heading for the Waldensen rehab center in Minnesota after being checked in by his brother Bob. What transpires is James' determined fight against the center's 12-step program and his own healing in this story about addiction and salvation.
