Ben Stiller and Jack Black star as Tim and Nick, best friends, neighbors and co-workers, whose equal footing is suddenly tripped up when one of Nick's harebrained get-rich-quick schemes actually succeeds: Vapoorizer, a spray that literally makes dog poop, or any other kind for that matter, evaporate into thin air -- to where exactly is anyone's guess. Tim, who had scoffed at Nick's idea and passed on an opportunity to get in on the deal, can only watch as Nick's fortune -- and Tim's own envy -- grow to equally outrageous proportions. When the flames of jealousy are fanned by an oddball drifter who imposes himself into the situation, Tim's life careens wildly out of control... taking Nick's with it. --IMDb

Honestly, I'd rather eat dog "poo" than watch this painful of a movie. This movie is absolutely horrible. What went wrong? The plot had great potential with two, not including Ben Stiller, of the better funny men in Hollywood. The dialogue is lame, the settings are lame, Ben Stiller is lame, the kids are lame, and everything about this movie is lame.

It starts out with Ben Stiller (Tim) giving a lecture to Jack Black (Nick) about work. Nick then decides to make something called VAPOORIZE, which eliminates dog feces. His idea hits big and he becomes an instant millionaire. The rest of the movie is Tim being jealous of Nick's wealth and idea. Why couldn't they have just made a true to life story of Bill Gates instead? That would have been much more comical than "Envy". What really bugged me is that Jack Black was not funny at all, and neither was Christopher Walken. None of the jokes or funny parts made sense at all. The dialogue was idiotic and could've been written by a 4th grader. Half the stuff that happened made no sense at all. This is a very dull attempt at a comedy that had so much potential. The fault here lies with the director, not with the plot or character writers.

Before you go out and spend $7.50 on a movie ticket or $3.00 on a rental (when it comes out to DVD) on a movie where Ben Stiller plays himself for the billionth time and pulls all the other actor's down with him, think again. But to be somewhat fair to the review and integrity of the movie, I'll add a point to my original score of 1/10 for having a good plot and idea with good potential. 2/10

I actually liked this movie. I thought it was funny. I've watched it three times now.
