Do you remember making mixtapes for your friends back in the day? I do, and I also remember how fun it was to dig through my collection in search of the best material, the rarest stuff, and of course, those little clips that would segue the songs together perfectly. Kids today have it easy with their fancy rewritable CDs and their pirated MP3s, but back in my day, these mixtapes were a labor of love. The Retard-O-Tron Video Mixtape takes this old-school method of mixing together the most bizarre shit imaginable, and I have to say that it makes for a damned entertaining night in front of the tube.

So, what's included here? Well, we've got a David Hasselhoff music video, Asian puke / scat porn, midget sex, midget action movies, backyard wrestling, bizarre television pilots for shows that never made it, catfights, motorcycle / BMX / skateboard accidents, an episode of Spongebong Hemppants, a J-POP music video, vintage movie trailers, and dozens of other clips that you've probably never seen. Basically, think back to all of the times that someone has sent you a link to some deranged video clip on the Internet and told you that "You've got to see this one!" Put all of those together into one feature-length film, and you've got an idea as to how the Retard-O-Tron Video Mixtape plays out.

It would be impossible to critique each and every last one of the clips, so I'm not even going to try. What I will say is that while they run the gamut from sick to disgusting to hilarious to lame and back again, most of the material here is entertaining. Sure, there are some weak spots to be found - I personally thought that there were way too many motorcycle clips - but this is all subjective as the sort of thing I'm interested in may find its way onto your personal "lame" list. Suffice it to say that there's something for everyone here, and although some of it may strike out with you, you're guaranteed at least a couple of hearty laughs.

What surprised me the most here was the amount of original material included on the disc. You see, I've seen my fair share of stupid Internet videos, so there's really not a whole lot out there that is both original and entertaining in my eyes. I'm not going to be silly enough to claim that I've seen it all, but I expected more than a couple of "seen that before" moments from a set such as this. Oh, how wrong I was. Let's see: the guys responsible for this one included the Trey Parker and Matt Stone hermaphrodite public service announcement from Tromeo and Juliet, the three unaired television pilots came from a show on ABC (I never saw that show, but it's far from rare material) and I think we've all seen our fair share of scat videos (although the ones here were new to me), but other than, almost everything thrown in here was new to me. That's really quite a feat for a release such as this, and it turned out to be a movie that I'll break out fairly often down the road.

The best part about this film? It's completely free to legally download it, so if you're not in the mood to plunk down the twelve bucks to purchase it (a worthwhile purchase, for my money), you can just head over to their official site and snag your own copy. At that price, you really have no excuse not to check it out, especially when it turned out to be as entertaining as it was. 8/10.

It's actually quite good. I would have done it, but, 1) I'm busy and 2) it's hard to review something like this. Either way, it's a great video and I suggest everyone download it. 7/10

I would actually consider this mixtape more as a warning to America, everyone should see this to fully understand how siick our internet generation has become. There are those who will watch this and laugh there asses off, but it goes much deeper than that, consider it a pure and unfiltered insight into the horrors of suburbia.
